The Boston Homebrew Competition needs volunteers, judges and stewards.  The

competition is Saturday February 26 starting at 8:00 a.m.  The location is

in Watertown.  The deadline for entries will be two weeks prior to the

competition.

Club dues -- You should have received a We Pay email asking you to pay

dues.  We strongly encourage you to pay your dues through We Pay, as it

allows everyone in the club to track the treasury.  The payment process is

very simple and takes just a few seconds.

Spamfest is next month, date to be finalized.  Email Sloan Craven with

suggestions.  See wort.org for a picture of spam.

Slither will be held on February 5.  Think of it as the anti-Spamfest.  It

involves no spam, nor canned meats of any kind, but is an elegant cocktail

crawl. Participants dress up (really dress up) for the night, in a tux,

smoking jacket, or ball gown.  The theme is Scotch.  Email Kris Butler with

questions.

The Modern Brewer in Cambridge has been experimenting with early hours --

8:00 a.m. on Saturdays.  Due to lack of business so far they may discontinue

that early Saturday opening.  So if you'd like them to continue with the

early opening, get to the story early on Saturday before it is too late.

Raffle -- At his first BWP meeting, John Schweizer won both a t-shirt and

the grand prize of a starter kegging setup.  Other prizes given away were a

Belgian capper/corker and a $50 gift certificate to the Modern Brewer.
